The RIBA Plan of Work is an 8 stage concept that keeps the project on track for its deadlines.
Stage 0. Strategic Definition - Identify the client's core objectives and requirements.
Stage 1.Preparation Brief - Develop the objectives and requirements to create a brief including budget and sustainable analysis, undertake feasibility studies.
Stage 2. Concept Design - Outline the proposals for structural design and specification along with preliminary cost information. Agree alterations with the client and issue the final project brief.
Stage 3. Developed Design - Update proposals for structural design and cost outline.
Stage 4. Technical Design - Include all architectural, structural and building services information in accordance with the design programme.
Stage 5. Construction - Off-site manufacturing and onsite construction as well as solutions to design problems.
Stage 6. Handover and Close Out - Handover the building and conclude the building contract.
Stage 7. In Use - Use the building in line with the schedule of services.
