Progress and Reflection
Looking back on the evolution of the building there were a number of things that I could have done better.
1. Use mirrored glass instead of ordinary glass for the full glass front as this would have allowed those inside the building to see out but not those on the outside in and would also allow the building to fit in with its surroundings seamlessly whilst still allowing it to have a stunning, modern aesthetic.
2. Expanded the building and made more use of the park allowing for bigger bouldering rooms and more space for storage and more rooms, for example a conference room, could have been added.
3. More sustainable features could have been used. For example, a ground source heat pump and photovoltaic solar pannels in the roof allowing for small skylights, adding to the amount of natural light whilst storing solar energy that could be converted into electricity.
The main things that people liked and commented on about the design of the building were:
1. Maximising the space inside the building as it was all open plan and customers could move around easily.
2. The timber cladding as it fitted in well with the park whilst being both aesthetically pleasing and sustainable.
3. The sedum roof as it reduced the amount of carbon dioxide and insulated the building at the same time, yet it still allowed the building to fit in with its surroundings.

Peer Review
Generally, I gained positive feedback from my peers, however there was some constructive criticism.
Bike racks - it was asked if should customers cycle to the centre or staff cycle to work then where should they keep their mode of transport therefore the addition of a bike rack will be required. This may also encourage others to cycle and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
Timber cladding rotting - there was a worry if the timber would rot due to the climate of Skipton. As the timber that I have chosen to use is of a very high quality and standard there shouldn't be any rotting. However, the timber cladding should still be well maintained.
Outside space - not much of the outside space has been used so if I were to do this project again I would have permanent outdoor seating, wooden tables and benches that were stuck into the ground and maybe on the back of the building there could be an outdoor wall.
